Project Manager

A leading Tier 1 building and civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery on a major package of work for the HS2 high-speed rail project in Birmingham. This is a high-profile opportunity to be part of one of the UK s most significant infrastructure programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of a key HS2 construction package
• Lead multidisciplinary site teams, ensuring performance against programme, budget, and quality targets
• Coordinate closely with the client, supply chain, and stakeholders
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and compliance standards
• Drive risk management, cost control, and reporting procedures
• Provide leadership and mentorship to engineers and support staff

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
• Minimum 7+ years' experience managing complex infrastructure or civils projects
• Previous experience on major rail or public infrastructure schemes preferred
• Strong leadership, contract management, and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Platinum), and First Aid certification desirable
• Full UK driving licence
