Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our clients team. This role requires a strong background in commercial architecture, with proven experience across the retail, industrial, logistics, office, and education sectors, working through all RIBA work stages.

The ideal candidate will be RIBA Part 2 qualified or CIAT accredited, with at least 5+ years of post-qualification practical experience. You will bring a blend of technical expertise, design capability, and excellent communication skills, along with the confidence to manage projects, build client relationships, and contribute effectively both independently and within a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop commercial project schemes from early concepts through to planning, tender, and construction documentation.
  • Produce high-quality drawings and technical information using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and other relevant software.
  • Apply strong working knowledge of building regulations throughout all project stages (RIBA 1 6).
  • Draft NBS specifications and assist in the technical development of design solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and team members, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and within deadlines.
  • Support a busy and established team with a growing project portfolio.

About You

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both design creativity and technical detailing skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of building construction, planning procedures, and building regulations.
  • Confident in presenting drawn and written information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software (essential).
  • Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and other presentation software (desirable).
  • Experience writing NBS specifications (advantageous).
  • Strong communicator with the ability to manage external consultants and stakeholders.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and is willing to travel as projects require.
