School Site Manager

A Primary School in Stretford are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Manager to join their school team on a temporary basis, covering long-term staff absence. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school premises, maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. This is a great opportunity for an Experienced School Site Manager who is looking for flexible work, or a School Site Supervisor/Caretaker who is looking to gain experience in School Site Management

Location: Stretford, M32Contract: Temporary (Full-time), Approx 4 weeks, potentially longerRate: £13.68 - £17/hour DOEHours: 8am - 4pmStart Date: ASAPKey Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee the security, cleanliness, and general maintenance of the school site and buildings.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks (DIY level).
• Liaise with contractors and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Manage site access, including opening and locking up the school.
• Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
• Support with setting up rooms for school events and activities.
• Conduct regular site checks and risk assessments.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience in a school or facilities management role is essential.
• An Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List Check on the Update Service is essential
• Good understanding of health & safety and safeguarding procedures.
• Practical skills in basic maintenance and repairs.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently.
