This key position sits within West Yorkshire Police’s Estates and Business Services Directorate, providing expert M&E support across a diverse estate of around 100 operational and specialist buildings. As a key member of our technical team, you’ll deliver in‑house assurance, on‑site inspections, contractor oversight and compliance monitoring across projects, reactive and planned maintenance, and major installations. Role and Responsibilities

Key duties include:

A qualified building services engineer with relevant mechanical or electrical experience
City & Guilds Level 3 / ONC Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or professional experience demonstrating equivalent competency
Strong knowledge of current industry regulations, standards and Health and Safety legislation
Experience managing and coordinating mechanical and electrical contractors
Ability to work to specifications, tender scopes and technical drawings
Experience validating contractor payment applications
Excellent technical communication skills
Ability to prioritise a varied workload and work both independently and as part of a team
