Job Description
Our client, a leader in essential infrastructure services, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. This permanent role will be playing a crucial part in delivering large-scale capital programmes to maintain and enhance water infrastructure across Scotland. You will be part of a respected and experienced team, working to protect the environment and ensure the resilience of water services for future generations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering the commercial and financial aspects of the Capital Delivery Framework
- Working closely with delivery teams on clean and waste infrastructure projects
- Supporting delivery management and on-site teams
- Ensuring operational control of costs, maximising value, and minimising future liabilities
- Assisting the Estimating team to ensure robust estimates align with project scope
- Preparing Subcontracts and procurement strategies in collaboration with relevant teams
- Producing accurate live forecasting and reporting in line with work breakdown structures
- Monitoring actual costs, providing variance reports, and suggesting resolutions
- Ensuring project team members understand contractual arrangements
- Maintaining proper records for financial audits and cost assurance
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Valid UK driving licence
