Role & Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting quotations and variations
  • Submitting monthly applications for payment
  • Reviewing supplier quotes for suitability and value
  • Interpreting drawings, specifications, and scope documents
  • Attending site meetings when required
  • Supporting project planning from initial stages
  • Building strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards

Required Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience within architectural metalwork, steelwork, or construction
  • Background in subcontractor estimating
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, scope of works, and BOQs
  • Familiarity with JCT/NEC contracts, CDM regulations, and risk management
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in construction or estimating
  • CAD knowledge
