Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Testing & Inspection (T&I) Electrician
Location: East Kilbride / Morpeth
Salary: 38,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working on behalf of: A major national Facilities Management company

Are you a qualified and experienced Electrician with a strong background in Electrical Inspection & Testing? A leading FM service provider is seeking a skilled T&I Electrician to join their team, delivering high-quality electrical services at a large-scale manufacturing and production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including emergency lighting, EICR, PAT, and more.
  • Support the site T&I Supervisor with daily operations and electrical contract development.
  • Supervise sub-contractors, ensuring safe and professional work in line with company and site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with statutory and company regulations.
  • Respond to electrical breakdowns and participate in call-out rota as required.
  • Contribute to a positive safety culture and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • ECS Gold Card Installation Electrician
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent in Testing & Inspection
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training
  • Demonstrable experience in a commercial or industrial FM environment

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (especially SAM FM)
  • IOSH Managing Safely or Safety Passport
  • Working knowledge of Water Hygiene, COSHH, and Safe Systems of Work
