Disrepair Surveyor Salary: £55,000 £60,000 (DOE) Location: London (Hybrid Working Available) Contract Type: Permanent We are partnering with a forward-thinking housing provider seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to join their growing Property Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong surveyor who has demonstrable experience managing complex disrepair cases, including expert witness duties and Part 35 compliance. Key Responsibilities Carry out detailed building surveys, defect diagnostics, and condition assessments for disrepair cases. Produce high-quality technical reports, schedules of work, and cost evaluations. Lead disrepair case management from instruction through to resolution, working closely with legal teams and contractors. Provide expert witness reports and give evidence as required, including responding to CPR Part 35 questions . Ensure all reports, evidence, and communications meet legal and regulatory requirements. Advise on remedial strategies, contractor performance, and technical solutions to resolve complex building defects. Carry out post-works inspections, ensuring all works meet required standards and compliance frameworks. Build strong relationships with residents, internal teams, solicitors, and external stakeholders. Identify trends in disrepair and contribute to long-term asset improvement strategies. Requirements Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within social housing, local authority, or a housing consultancy. Professional qualification (e.g., RICS, AssocRICS) strongly desirable
