Key Responsibilities Full commercial management of projects from tender through to final account Ensuring accurate budget control, reporting, and forecasting Managing variations, valuations, interim applications, and final accounts Producing and maintaining detailed cost reports Assessing subcontractor quotations, negotiating terms, and securing packages Supporting Pre-Construction with cost planning, pricing, and VE input Preparing procurement packs for tender Providing commercial insight to support design and delivery decisions Carrying out site visits to monitor progress and commercial alignment Working closely with the Managing QS and supporting junior members where required Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry Strong background in Design & Build projects (fitout, refurb, extensions, or small newbuilds) Minimum 5 years QS experience with a structured career history Strong commercial and contractual understanding Able to work from a Stockport-based office and travel to Northwest project sites Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills

Overview Our client are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of residential construction projects, from initial estimates through to final account. You will play a key role in ensuring commercial success across a variety of schemes.
