Lead pre-pour briefings and ensure all operatives understand the planned pour sequence, hazards and control measures. Supervise concrete placement, compaction, vibration, levelling, finishing and curing to the required standard. Monitor concrete deliveries and ensure the correct concrete specification, quantity and placement location are maintained. Ensure required concrete testing, sampling and cube testing are carried out in coordination with the QA/QC team. Monitor formwork and shutters during pours and immediately report any movement, leakage, damage or other concerns. Ensure construction joints, waterstops, kickers and other concrete interfaces are installed correctly. Maintain high standards of workmanship and identify and rectify defects or quality issues promptly. Ensure all concrete activities are undertaken safely, including safe use of pumps, vibrators, plant, lifting equipment and access arrangements. Conduct and participate in toolbox talks, daily briefings and safety inspections relevant to concrete activities. Allocate work to operatives, monitor productivity and ensure sufficient resources are available to meet programme requirements. Coordinate with plant operators, concrete suppliers, pump operators and subcontractors to minimise delays and maintain productivity. Maintain accurate records of concrete pours, quantities, locations, inspections, testing and any issues encountered. Ensure good housekeeping, correct disposal of concrete waste and proper cleaning of concrete equipment and work areas. Report progress, resource requirements, technical issues, safety concerns and potential programme delays to the Site Manager and take appropriate action to keep the works on programme.
