To undertake permanent and temporary works designs (P&TW) and Cat 1 / Cat 2 checks for the Project, being part of the Engineering department, assisting the Civils & Structures Accountable Person and the Temporary Works Coordinator in the design process.
Working with the Structures Technical Lead to ensure that designs are coordinated with other interfacing disciplines, and that designs and drawings produced meet the requirements of London Underground and of the Contractor's Works Information.
Assisting the Lead Engineer with supervision, checking and certification of the permanent structural and temporary works.
Key responsibilities
Permanent Works Design Development
To work in accordance with the Design Management Plan (DMP).
To develop the design to achieve a safe, buildable, operational and maintainable asset that is compliant with Standards and meets the Project Requirements.
Assisting with reviews of deliverables as directed by the Structures Technical Lead, giving confirmation that the deliverable can be released to the Client or Third Parties, including the Design Compliance submissions to LU.

Permanent Works Design Assurance

Review and comment and when required approve the Construction team ITPs and SSoW.
Confirmation of the acceptability of NCRs and any remedial works.

Experience within a similar role within an appropriately sized engineering organisation.
Experience in working in multi-disciplinary engineering projects

Our Client is arguably the fastest growing independent Building Services Partnership in Leeds.
Since its conception, the business has delivered projects for a diverse spectrum of clients across sectors including residential, commercial, leisure, healthcare, education and major events. As a direct result of client recommendation, the business has grown at an unprecedented rate and now operates from Leeds and London, covering projects UK wide.
Their approach to each project stems from the belief that every building is a place to live, work, socialise, retreat, holiday and enjoy. They aim to bring buildings to life to provide comfortable spaces that both perform and promote sustainable design, with energy efficient developments embedded within the company’s ethos.
A true London office sets this practice apart from many of their competitors, winning work and supporting Southern based schemes locally. With one of the founding partners permanently stationed in London and supported by a design team, this provides an enviable platform from which to cherry pick projects and inspire confidence with those who request a “London based service”.
The implementation of Revit MEP software across the vast majority of their schemes continues to provide the company great opportunities to further expand. With a noteworthy team already in place, the appointment of a BIM Coordinator will further strengthen a high performing team, creating additional resource and facilitating greater output to meet demand.
Applications are invited from experienced Revit MEP Coordinator, capable of running projects and effectively managing their own time. Additional duties will include prioritising work, hitting deadlines, promote a collaborative approach and on occasion the training of junior members of staff.
Finally, based in the heart of Leeds City centre, this role also offers excellent public transport commuting options and a pleasant social element for after work events

Our client is a highly respected Mechanical and Electrical design practice based in Leeds, with a strong reputation for delivering complex schemes in the Commercial, Residential, Education and Health Care sectors.
The owners encourage a friendly and enjoyable environment, less formal than a typical large corporate brand, which may appeal to those who prefer to work under limited supervision with the autonomy to manage their own time and workload, without the daily grind of micro management.
The business is keen to speak with a Senior MEP Revit Coordinator to help establish a BIM Department, taking on the challenges of leading projects whilst building towards the future. With the likely natural progression of a BIM package included on every future project, this is seen as a key hire and much needed pillar of the business. With a number of live Revit MEP schemes currently being managed both in house and externally, the long term plan is to have all projects managed internally and a team recruited to provide the company a first class BIM Department.
Applications are invited from talented, self-motivated and ambitious BIM professionals with extensive experience across the Building Services sector, capable of taking a leading role in the office and working in direct collaboration with the company’s M&E Design Engineers and customers. As the company “BIM expert”, interested parties must have indepth knowledge of Revit MEP software with the ability to grow with the role.
This opportunity offers great career prospects and a high profile role within the company structure. Ultimately the post offers the early stages of a much sought after BIM Managers job, with the added incentive of being involved from the start
