Proven experience as a CNC Operator & Programmer, (preferably from with the fire door industry or similar door manufacturing areas) with specific experience working on Holzher and Weeke machines. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and operation. Ability to manage production schedules and capacity planning. Experience with machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: Programming & Operation: Develop and optimise CNC programs specifically for Holzher and Weeke machines to ensure efficient production of bespoke fire door sets. Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components. Capacity Planning & Scheduling: Plan and manage production schedules to maximise machine utilisation and meet production deadlines. Maintenance & Repairs: Schedule regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they remain in top working condition. Coordinate repairs when necessary to minimise downtime. Training & Development: Supervise and mentor two junior staff members who are currently undergoing their CNC training. Provide them with guidance and support in their development. Team Supervision: Oversee the work of junior team members, ensuring they adhere to best practices and safety protocols while gaining hands-on experience with CNC operations. The items crafted range from flat packable goods for rental stock, to one off bespoke items and temporary structures. Working as part of the joinery team machining parts for mainly bespoke items and some small batch work. The role involves setting and operating CNC machinery. Working from drawings to produce timber, acrylic, polystyrene and foam parts. Be adaptable to working with different materials. Carrying out necessary maintenance Helping out in joinery with basic joinery and assembly when required. Skills and Characteristics Proven CNC machining experience. Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated. Ability to read and work from CAD drawings. Have an organised and safe approach to work. Basic joinery skills would be an advantage. My client is a very well established Joinery business located in Brent cross who is currently recruiting in order to fill the position of a experienced CNC Operator/Programmer with Joinery experience. The successful candidate will need a minimum of 3 years experience as a CNC Operator/Programmer within the Joinery industry. The successful candidate will be required to: •Produce accurate manufacturing drawings in AutoCAD 2013 Or Inventor 2013 •Produce CNC programs using AlphaCAM (5 Axis) •Edit NC coding for parametric programming using Xilog Plus •Ordering of required materials •Liaise with customers and sales/estimating team To be considered for this role you must have: •High proficiency in AutoCAD or Inventor (2yrs experience) •Knowledge of AlphaCAM will be beneficial •Knowledge of NC code will be beneficial •CNC knowledge is required •5yrs + Architectural Joinery knowledge (preferable other joinery sectors will be considered) •Can work unsupervised as well as in a team •Good telephone manner
