This work is due to the national rollout of 5G Superfast Broadband in 285 cities across the UK and will benefit 8 million homes. This will affect 20% of all UK homes by the end of 2025.
This work is expected to create thousands of jobs across the UK for varied disciplines so its great time to be getting into telecommunications with massive investment in the UK from large financial bodies.
We are currently working with a contractor who has active work and is currently hiring a large number of Cable Pullers for an ongoing programme of work presently in West and North West Scotland.
Important:
You will be performing cable pulling, assisting Fibre Technicians and Civils Operatives with varied construction tasks, completing shallow groundwork and digging activities. You will potentially be using a steel saw, for which training will be provided and / or working on the tarmac to cut out and then reinstate this tarmac on the roads and public highways.
As you will be working in the public eye, sometimes in busy town and city centres or local to customer's houses and be wearing our client's branded PPE you will be expected to always behave in a professional manner.
You will be working to industry training standards, for which full training will be provided and this would be an ideal steppingstone for someone who is looking to progress within the telecoms or construction industry and build their skills.
This would also suit someone who has worked out of industry, maybe in warehouses, doing deliveries, labouring or any role in which physical or outdoor working has been normality.
Our client strongly believes in recognising talent and investing their staff. If you prove yourself there are various trade / craft accreditations within telecoms you can progress on to with this experience. We have even had Cable Pullers progress into management roles.
The Job:
You will assist with the fibre cabling underground in the street, to which the end customer's broadband will be connected and this work will take place outside people's houses. This will sometimes be the customers' house frontage and will range from a normal garden to driveway consisting of tarmac, block paving, dirt or concrete.
Laying this cable underground requires digging and cutting through this ground to establish the depth.
You will be provided with all tools and the best quality training necessary to perform the job making sure that you are able to complete this work in the safest manner possible. There will always be worksite supervision there to make sure that you are kept on task and able to perform your duties safety, accurately and effectively.
Requirements for this role:
Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous but not essential. We have taken people from varied backgrounds such as warehouse work, deliveries, labouring, landscape gardening with limited experience. Our client is just looking for someone who is physically fit and able to cope with strenuous and demanding groundwork activities

Resourcing Solutions are working with a major principal contractor to deliver a high-profile telecoms project across multiple sites (Glenrothes, Dundee, Edinburgh, Livingston).

We are currently working with a contractor who has active work and is currently hiring a large number of Cable Pullers for an ongoing programme of work presently in West and North West Scotland.
Important:
You will be performing cable pulling, assisting Fibre Technicians and Civils Operatives with varied construction tasks, completing shallow groundwork and digging activities. You will potentially be using a steel saw, for which training will be provided and / or working on the tarmac to cut out and then reinstate this tarmac on the roads and public highways.
As you will be working in the public eye, sometimes in busy town and city centres or local to customer's houses and be wearing our client's branded PPE you will be expected to always behave in a professional manner.
You will be working to industry training standards, for which full training will be provided and this would be an ideal steppingstone for someone who is looking to progress within the telecoms or construction industry and build their skills.
This would also suit someone who has worked out of industry, maybe in warehouses, doing deliveries, labouring or any role in which physical or outdoor working has been normality.
Our client strongly believes in recognising talent and investing their staff. If you prove yourself there are various trade / craft accreditations within telecoms you can progress on to with this experience. We have even had Cable Pullers progress into management roles.
The Job:
You will assist with the fibre cabling underground in the street, to which the end customer's broadband will be connected and this work will take place outside people's houses. This will sometimes be the customers' house frontage and will range from a normal garden to driveway consisting of tarmac, block paving, dirt or concrete.
Laying this cable underground requires digging and cutting through this ground to establish the depth.
You will be provided with all tools and the best quality training necessary to perform the job making sure that you are able to complete this work in the safest manner possible. There will always be worksite supervision there to make sure that you are kept on task and able to perform your duties safety, accurately and effectively.
Requirements for this role:
Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous but not essential. We have taken people from varied backgrounds such as warehouse work, deliveries, labouring, landscape gardening with limited experience. Our client is just looking for someone who is physically fit and able to cope with strenuous and demanding groundwork activities

T Levels will offer students a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience during an industry placement of at least 45 days. They will provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment, further study or a higher apprenticeship.
The Role
The T Level Examiner role is an excellent opportunity to earn some extra money in a part-time role, alongside any full-time commitments you may have, whilst also developing your career in education.
T-Level Examiners mark candidate responses in accordance with a pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to the Code of Practice and published examination procedures. Assessments will be marked either onscreen using ePEN, which can be completed from home, or by the traditional method, using paper scripts sent through the post. A high level of contemporary subject knowledge is necessary in order to apply the mark scheme. Each examiner will receive an agreed allocation of scripts. Some national travel may be required to attend examiner training and standardisation.
We have opportunities available to mark Core Paper 1: Science and Building Technology, Core Paper 2: Construction Industry and Sustainability and the Employer Set Project.

T Levels will offer students a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience during an industry placement of at least 45 days. They will provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment, further study or a higher apprenticeship.
The Role
The T Level Examiner role is an excellent opportunity to earn some extra money in a part-time role, alongside any full-time commitments you may have, whilst also developing your career in education.
T-Level Examiners mark candidate responses in accordance with a pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to the Code of Practice and published examination procedures. Assessments will be marked either onscreen using ePEN, which can be completed from home, or by the traditional method, using paper scripts sent through the post. A high level of contemporary subject knowledge is necessary in order to apply the mark scheme. Each examiner will receive an agreed allocation of scripts. Some national travel may be required to attend examiner training and standardisation.
We have opportunities available to mark Core Paper 1: Science and Building Technology, Core Paper 2: Construction Industry and Sustainability and the Employer Set Project.
Responsibilities
· To mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
· To submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
· To ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
· To ensure all administration is completed as specified.
· To attend standardisation in May 2021
· To regularly mark scripts during the summer series from May to June.
Experience and Qualifications Required
· You will hold a minimum of one year’s teaching and assessment experience within the last 8 years, or equivalent in Construction at Level 3
· You will have a degree or equivalent work-based qualification such as a Level 5/6/7 NVQ in Construction or membership of a relevant professional body such as: CIOB, (Chartered Institute of Building), CIBSE (Ch inst of Building Serv Eng), ICE (Civ Eng) BIAT (Brit Ins Arch Technicians), ASI (Arch and Surv Inst), RICS (Royal Ins of Ch Surv)
