Company & Project: Our client, a large and well-established civil engineering company is looking for an experienced General Foreman to oversee heavy civils and roadwork projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To control all operations on-site to ensure they are carried out efficiently, safely and to the required standards.
Monitor operatives' performance and time keeping.
Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public
Coordinating and supervising construction workers.
Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
Assisting the Agent / Project Manager.
Maintaining quality control procedures.
Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork.
Understand ther method statements and risk assessments produced and issued for works.
Control plant, labour and materials usage to avaoid waste and overruns.
Desirable Experience & Skills:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a general foreman on civils projects
CSCS black or gold
5 Day First Aid
SMSTS/SSSTS

The successful Manager will be a strong man-manager, capable of running sub-contract packages, a team of Engineers as well as maintain overall control of a programme of earthworks, roadworks and grounworks.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Engineering background, degree/ HND/ HNC qualified is preferred not essential
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Experience of working with a tier one delivery contractor
CSCS Card
Current valid driving license
MUST have experience of groundworks, deep drainage, concreting, 278 works, earthworks
