What you'll be doing:
Lead a team of Engineers, allocating suitable tasks and supervising the delivery of a section of works.
Ensure Site Engineers complete setting out in accordance with design.
Produce/review method statements and risk assessments, making improvements as appropriate.
Carry out site audits to check works and compliance documentation.
Understand construction methodology and develop/approve relevant procedures specific to the area of works.
In association with the Section Foreman, assess the plant and resource requirements to meet the demands of site and office-based works.
Supervise the erection, use, maintenance and dismantling of the temporary works, as applicable.
Ensure design drawings are marked up to reflect works completed as the works are finished.

Degree qualified in civil engineering or equivalent.
Previous management experience is essential.
Experience in earthworks, drainage or heavy structures is desired.

My client is winning a lot of work in the Leicester/ Northampton space, and would like to bring someone on to build the division. Coming from an engineering/ structural background would help massively. As the projects are mainly bridges/ heavy infrastructure, evidence of this on the CV is key.

Position: Site Agent
Location: London
Salary and benefits: 50,000 - 65,000 DOE plus benefits including travel, pension, holiday etc
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to a major heavy civils project in central London. As a Site Agent, you will be supporting the wider team in the development, planning and delivery of major piling and subterranean heavy reinforced concrete.
To be considered for this position, it is essential that you hold considerable experience in piling and heavy civils structures scope gained whilst working in a Tier One environment.
This position would suit an established Site Agent or someone looking to step up into the role. This is a long-term prestigious project that will offer you a multitude of future opportunity.
As a Site Agent, your key responsibilities will include:
•Effective planning, directing and coordination of the construction works (piling and structures)
•Ensure works are constructed in a safe manner and meet the specified standards across cost, quality, and programme
•Short to medium term programming and planning of the construction works
•Resource planning, ensuring these are used effectively
•Input into subcontract procurement
•Manage design, consents, and 3rd party approvals where necessary to mitigate delays
•Financial management and control of the works
•Review and produce when necessary RAMS, ITPs, construction processes, engineering specifications, set out and measurements and quality documentation
•Ensure that all required certification, assurance, compliance, and quality paperwork is generated, stored, and distributed as appropriate
•Manage and control safety, ensuring that briefings and toolbox talks are being carried out in line with project requirements and the H&S plan
To be successful in this role, it is anticipated that you will:
•Be educated to a Degree or Masters level in Civil Engineering. HNC or HND is acceptable where you can demonstrate experience in a senior technical engineering role
•Ideally you will be Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) with the ICE
•Hold demonstrable experience in working as an Engineer / Sub Agent / Agent on significant civil engineering construction project, circa 7 years minimum
•Have an excellent track record of project delivery: safely, to timescale, quality, and cost
•Be able to demonstrate strong leadership, team building and motivating skills
•Be a confident communicator, presenter, negotiator, and organiser
•Hold the required vocational qualifications including SMSTS qualification and CSCS Card as a minimum
