The Design Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of Design within the business. You will ensure all required Designs and documents are correct, approved and in place within the agreed time frames. You will be required to maintain good records and filing systems for all relevant drawings and documentation.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Produce, amend and issue all designs, documents and drawings within the business
Ensure all works are completed on time in a professional manner in line with EVI 5* promise
Ensure regular communication with clients throughout works by phone and email
Attend to all client queries and requests and coordinate with relevant team members in a timely manner
Liaise with customers in respect of system design requirements
Maintain and keep good records, drawing registers, design calculations and other documentation such as emails, archived drawings, working drawings, documents and schedules for future reference
Management of documents on customer portals including uploading designs, obtaining correct layouts and latest drawings
Liaising with Architects and Consultants to ensure that correct layouts are being used
Coordinate and attend meetings internally and externally as and when required
Ensure clients/customers find it easy to communicate and obtain information
Produce cable schematics and design strategies
Produce controller drawings
Produce Panel Proofs
Produce Access Control fob strategies
Produce O & M Manuals
Produce technical submittals
Review and amend existing drawings reflecting any agreed design changes
Provide detailed and clear reports as required both written and by email
Assist with internal and external presentations (PowerPoint and similar)
Assist and participate in new processes to improve the department
Ensure all Health and Safety rules for the company are adhered to
Assist and support in all areas of the Projects department as and when required
Experience/Qualifications
Essential
