This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a hands-on estimating role with clear progression into management over time. The role will suit an experienced estimator ready to take ownership of complex bids, or a motivated professional with strong estimating skills who is looking to grow into a leadership position. The Role The successful candidate will: Review and analyse incoming enquiries, defining project scope and identifying specialist subcontract requirements. Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical projects ranging from £250k to £5 million in value. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain compliant quotations that meet client specifications. Develop detailed proposals and presentations, highlighting any risks, exclusions, and qualifications. Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to manage elements not completed in-house. Attend internal and client meetings to support the estimating process and project handover. Maintain up-to-date estimate logs and ensure accurate project records. Full UK driving licence (restrictions apply for certain offence codes). Qualifications & Experience Minimum of three years estimating experience in the electrical industry. Knowledge of current IEE Wiring Regulations and relevant British Standards. Demonstrable experience in estimating projects up to £5 million .
