Job Purpose Are you an experienced Technical Manager seeking an interim opportunity to make an immediate impact on high-quality residential developments? This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of technical design and engineering delivery across multiple schemes, supporting projects from land acquisition through to completion. You will play a key role in ensuring designs are coordinated, compliant, commercially viable and buildable, helping to keep programmes on track and developments moving successfully through planning, procurement, construction and customer handover. What You'll Be Doing Design Management Manage the technical design process for multiple residential developments. Coordinate architects, engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, and specialist consultants. Review and approve technical drawings and specifications. Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, compliant and buildable. Monitor design programmes to ensure key project milestones are achieved. Planning and Approvals Manage planning conditions and the discharge of relevant requirements. Obtain statutory approvals including Building Regulations, highways, drainage, utilities, and environmental consents. Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, and statutory bodies. Ensure developments comply with current legislation and planning obligations. Project Delivery Provide technical advice and support to pre-construction and construction teams. Attend project and design team meetings. Resolve technical queries raised during construction. Manage design changes while minimising programme and cost impacts. What We're Looking For A proven Technical Manager or senior technical professional with experience gained within a UK residential housebuilder environment. Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and technical design processes.
