Design Manager

Job Title: Design Manager (Pre con and tender Stage focus) Department: Pre-Construction Reports to: Senior Design Manager / Design Lead Location/Region: Midlands £65- £80K base DOE About them the company: Amazing Culture and fast growing Main contractor, with over 400 staff in the UK, turning over 450 million working on average project sizes of £25 million. Day to Day Responsible for the management and delivery of design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule with a focus on pre-construction stage of the project. Responsible for the production of design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrix, appointments, schedules to record progress, attending/chairing necessary meetings and workshops. Duties & Responsibilities * Managing the contract specifications, drawings and related documents * Issuing and closing out any Requests For Information that arise * Chairing design team meetings and leading the process with the consultants and subcontract designers * Submitting design information to the client team * Ensuring BREEAM compliance where required on projects in support of (and with) the sustainability team * Coordinating the submission of information to ensure all planning conditions are discharged, with support of the Planning Consultant/Lead Designer * Providing design & technical support to project management teams Qualifications/Experience * Extensive experience in an engineering or architectural background * Excellent IT skills - proficient in suite of Microsoft programmes (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * A self-starter able to demonstrate high levels of initiative, tenacity and self-motivation and be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy * Has strong problem solving and considered decision-making skills * Methodical, analytical and organised with an attention to detail * Able to build effective relationships across the business and externally at all levels Please contact me directly for more information on this role on (phone number removed) Setsquare is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
