Company: This business are a prime residential refurbishment specialist whose project portfolio is located in some of London’s most sought after areas. Their uncompromising quality of finish and strong end user relationships have helped them to build a strong reputation for delivery and customer service. Typical projects well encompass structural alterations, cut and carve, temporary works, façade retention and basement excavations through to prime internal fit out and restorations. They are well versed in working on listed residences tasked with restoring and maintaining beautiful character properties using the best master craftsmen available. They do tender and win a respectable amount of work however the bulk of their projects come from recommendations and referrals ranging from the end user to client-side project management, PQS’, architects and interiors designers. They also spend a lot of time investing in their own staff and company with their low churn rate of staff being testament their approach. They pride themselves on looking after everyone who works with the business, not only are they provided with high quality and stimulating projects to deliver, they are given the tools and team to do so. They have a track record of putting people through external qualifications such as degrees and masters if they wants to. Role: Contracts Manager This is initially to replace a current contracts manager who is leaving the business in a few of months time. He has taken the decision to relocate overseas with his family and has provided this business with a lengthy notice for them to find a suitable replacement and conduct a thorough handover. This candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of circa 2-4 projects at various stages of their lifecycle and will be responsible from leading them from the start through contract negotiation/ tender through pre-construction to delivery, pc and handover. This business has specifically stated they want to employ someone who is ambitions and driven to progress and develop their career. Due to this company’s realistic and measured business plan they are looking to appoint a candidate who, after bedding into the company will be provided with a clear progression route into upper management in the future.
