Project Manager

A well-established Main Contactor based in Greater Manchester are looking to appoint a Project Manager to deliver a steel frame student accommodation project in Preston, circa £9m. The company specialise in the delivery of Design & Build projects across a range of sectors from £2m to £20m predominantly in the North West region. Reporting into a Contracts Manager, the Project Manager will be site based and will hold full responsibility for the management and delivery of the Project. Project Manager Role: Ensure staff are working safely, productively and to a high standard Liaise with clients and construction professionals to arrange schedules and direct activities. Planning and monitoring works and regularly reviewing of the programme Monitoring and co-ordination of subcontractor activity Resolve any issues when they arise Report progress to project team and clients Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management Maintaining effective long term relationships with the client and their representatives Experience required: Previous experience of successfully delivering multi occupancy projects as the Number 1 on site SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work certificates Excellent IT / reporting skills. Strong communication skills Strong leadership skills including experience in leading site teams on large programmes of work
