Conrad Consulting have teamed up with one of the largest independent RICS registered Building Consultancy practices in the UK.
This is a really exciting time to join a growing business and as such I am recruiting for a Project Manager to work alongside the existing team and provide outstanding service to clients and colleagues in the Wakefield office.
You will support other team members, customers and contractors to understand and manage design needs and deliver a solution that meet the needs of the client. Support colleagues to deliver projects on-time and within budget, using an innovative and flexible approach to achieve the highest standards possible.
Main duties and Responsibilities of the Project Manager
Advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, commercial, statutory, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
Undertaking building surveys.
Monitoring the deterioration or defects of a property and offering advice on repair work.
Assessing the impact of unexpected damage on insurance, for example after a fire or flood.
Writing technical reports.
Negotiating the repair of work or a financial settlement if required.
Advising on all aspects of quality and construction on new and existing buildings.
Undertaking measured surveys and dilapidations.
Develop project information
Monitor information flow within team
Monitor project delivery and report the actions required
Monitor Contractor progress on site
Maintain communication with the client and internal team
Essential Skills and Attributes of the Project Manager
Degree in construction related field (minimum 2:1)
Previous experience in a similar role
Experience in working on refurbishment projects in excess of £1m
Degree and working towards RICS or RICS qualified.
Evidence of continued professional development

You will be rewarded with a competitive salary depending on experience, in the region of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, plus company car allowance. Benefits also include:

To be considered for this Project Manager role you must have right to work in the UK and a full driving license. Travel across the UK is expected as part of the role as is a commitment to undertaking continued training and achieving relevant qualifications.
