Job Description

Position: Lead Mechanical Project Manager Location: London Salary: Negotiable An excellent job opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to work for a leading international consultancy and construction company that has delivered signature world class projects since 1990. This will be working on a mixed-use campus project. It will consist of a new state of the art student accommodation and retail. Responsible for the Mechanical services delivery, health and safety and subcontractor performance and wellbeing, whilst liaising with the client, main contractor, and consultants. What will you be doing… Overseeing the production and agreement of logic linked programmes, preconstruction, construction, and commissioning. Leading the production of PPC and road maps. Managing, monitoring, and recording of weekly look ahead plan for resource and progress. understanding of dependencies, problems posed and available resolutions. Managing and sequencing of subcontractors in line with programme requirements. Assisting with the production and agreement of project health and safety plans. Monitoring of installation works to ensure compliance with business processes. Monitoring of installation works to ensure compliance with project strategies/plans. Monitoring of sub-subcontractor health and safety documentation ensuring validity and supply chain works onsite in line with approved RAMS. Producing of sub-subcontractor tender information i.e., scope of works, interfaces schedules, pricing schedules, demarcations. Managing of procurement of sub-subcontractors’ packages in line with business and project strategies/plans. Managing of sub-subcontractors’ scope via a profit and loss reporting including attendance in project level package commercial reviews. Managing of sub-subcontractors’ package risk register and weekly dependency schedule production to progress works in line with programme. Monitoring recording and challenging of weekly look ahead plan for resource and progress. Producing of detailed site instruction and BWIC request via descriptions, sketches, site photos for incorporation by the commercial team. Monitoring and auditing of Mechanical installation works to ensure compliance with construction status drawings i.e., line and level throughout the installation duration, spot checks to be undertaken. Production and agreement of the commissioning strategy, management of close out items for package. Attending commissioning meetings with detailed knowledge of programme, issues and resolutions.
