BREEAM and Sustainability Manager

We are pleased to be recruiting a BREEAM and Sustainability manager for a national, tier 1 level multi-disciplined company. To be based in South East England. This is an opportunity to step away from a standard/consultancy assessor role and work on the front line of Sustainability in the built environment. It’s a fast paced, exciting role that will give you a whole range of experience in all aspects of Sustainability, not just BREEAM. We are involved in projects from the early tender qualification stage through pre-con, and design through construction and handover. We are looking for a candidate who is BREEAM accredited / a BREEAM assessor and who is passionate about their role. Sustainability Manager will be responsible for: * Provide assistance to the Bid Team including tender reviews and bid responses * Attendance at project meetings to identify opportunities to improve sustainability * Ongoing support to regional projects to ensure sustainability compliance, including site visits * Provide BREEAM support to design teams, design managers, commercial team and project managers * Develop, manage and monitor bespoke sustainability assessments for Clients that desire an Company alternative to BREEAM * Regular liaison with BREEAM Assessors and APs * Reporting project progress to clients and design teams * Provide guidance on regulation and legislation change that will impact projects * Provide support and guidance to regions on implementation of group level sustainability action plans * Attendance at relevant industry events Technical Competencies Essential * Minimum of 2 years experience in a BREEAM related role * Possess strong communication and organisational skills * Have the ability to work to strict deadlines, prioritising and planning workload * Have excellent attention to detail * Be analytical and concise Desirable * BREEAM Assessor * BREEAM/WELL AP or SSM * Knowledge of alternative sustainability assessment methods (LEED, WiredScore, WELL) * UK Driving Licence
