Our Group Special Projects team, located at our Thames Gateway Divisional Office in Dartford, Kent is looking to recruit a Technical Coordinator. The Role Reporting to the Technical Manager and Special Projects Director the successful candidate will be responsible for:- * Overseeing all technical aspects of multiple remedial and fire safety projects including the review of historic design information, survey data, risk assessments, and remedial proposals. * Working closely with the consultant team in reviewing third party information including EWS1 assessments and Fire Risk Assessments * Ensuring all historic project information is compiled, reviewed, and stored to assist in understanding remedial works plans and budgets * Manage early design proposals to secure accurate and comprehensive sets of information enabling the timely handover to the project delivery team * Ensuring the project delivery team are managing and satisfying regulatory bodies such as Planning, Building Control, and the Fire Brigade * Managing the compilation of end of project data and accurate digital storage * Assisting the team in the reporting and tracking of remedial projects, including matters with NHBC and other stakeholders * Working with the team to maintain up to date knowledge of legislative changes, including evolving EWS1 assessment requirements, Government policies, industry product standards and material innovation. Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience * Technical / Architectural experience at either a practice or developer along with a minimum of two years technical experience. * A good understanding of building techniques, materials, and Building Regulations, along with excellent communication and personnel skills * Awareness of the requirements of Part B of the England and Wales Building Regulations and the forthcoming Building Safety Bill * Experience of managing both high and medium-rise complex developments * Up to date knowledge of CDM regulations * The role will be challenging and will require hard work and dedication but will be fully supported and provide both job satisfaction and long term prospects Qualifications and Training * Current CSCS card or equivalent Skills and Aptitude * Strong communication and listening skills * Highly motivated to deliver thorough solutions * Ability to work on own as well as part of a team * IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems and processes * Good administration skills (familiar with digital drawing storage platforms such as DocElite and BuilderStorm) * Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions * Willing to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours worked. * Office based role, with possible requirement to support projects in other divisional areas. * Ability to travel to development sites as and when required. * Agile and Flexible work opportunities In return we can offer you: Competitive salary Competitive annual bonus Company car / car allowance 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays Contributory pension scheme Life assurance We reserve the right to close this vacancy if a large volume of applications are received
