Heating / Gas Engineer - Service, Breakdown & Repair Competitive Salary plus excellent benefits Long Stratton, Norwich - Working throughout Norfolk Full Time, Permanent Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Heating Service Engineer to join their in-house heating team, to carry out servicing, breakdown and repairs of all heating systems and associated works to their housing stock and ensuring that compliance is achieved with regards to the heating servicing programme. * Working Hours - 37½ hours per week (Monday to Friday) 7.30am to 15.30pm * On Call Standby - £130 per week * Call Out Rate - paid at time and a half (double time for Bank Holidays) * Holidays - 23 days days (increases to 28 days after 5 years service) and an additional 3½ days per annum plus all Public and Bank Holidays * Pension * Private Healthcare * Shopping Discounts * Access to an Employee Assistance Programme * Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme Key responsibilities include: * Undertaking all servicing, breakdown, and repairs of heating systems to maintain all systems owned by them or those they have an interest in. * Carrying out the heating service programme, as instructed. * Undertaking any upgrades within their heating improvement programmes, as required. * Ensuring the safety and security of their tenants and properties by participating on the out of hours call out rota, as required. Their ideal candidate will have: * Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of domestic heating. * Experience of working in both occupied and unoccupied properties and on occasions in extreme temperatures and conditions due to seasonal weather conditions. * You will also have the following recognised domestic qualifications: * CCN1 * ​CEN1 * HTR1 * CPA1 * DAH1 * UHWSS * WAT1 * Renewables * Additional heating qualifications would be desirable e.g. OFTEC (Oil). * A willingness to gain new skills and knowledge by undertaking training and additional qualifications for future developments within the heating industry. * Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps to order stock and MS Teams for meetings / training. * Ability to participate on the out of hours call out rota * Full, current, valid driving licence.
