Civils Engineer Are you ready to support the delivery of a fibre first Britain? We are currently seeking to recruit Trainee Civils Engineers to support the deployment of full fibre networks across the UK. We would love to hear from you if you have experience of installation work in a telecoms environment. Role Profile: Reporting to and tasked by the Supervisor locally, you will be employed to complete maintenance digs, clear blockages and pole lead-ins in the multiple surface categories to support the installation of optical fibre on the City Fibre external network. Any necessary training will be provided at one of 3 training centres and through external providers. Typical Deliverables: Safety - ensure that safe working practices are adopted as the top priority for all activities undertaken and that they are supported by all relevant documentation correctly completed. Quality - ensure you work within the 'right first time' quality culture of tIS and that your work is always compliant to 'City Fibre' installation standards. Set up site in full accordance with NRSWA standards. Adhere to safe dig practices at all times. Complete milestone progress reports supported by photographs. Complete POWRA and maintain visitors log. Ensure all tooling is in good condition and calibrated in date where required. All PPE is well maintained, suitable for purpose and worn at all times. Excavate, backfill and manage spoil on site and submit supporting photographs. Trenching & Duct Lay. Chamber & Box Building. Complete Hot & Cold Lay reinstatement in line with Section 72 standards. Record quality and compliance throughout the works using the mobile app. Business Operations Skills - Experience: Experience of installation work in a telecoms environment. Desired Business Operations Skills - Qualifications: NRSWA Units 1 to 9. - Full UK driving licence. - CDM Awareness for Operatives Abrasive Wheels Training Asbestos Awareness Manual Handling SA002 Accreditation. 'BTOR PIA' Gen Ops 1 City Fibre Network Awareness. NOPs Card Please be aware training can be provided.
