Quantity Surveyor Job in London or Swindon (Remote Working) Hunter Dunning is proud to be working with our public body client on the recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor to join their historic building and Landscape conservation team based in London or Swindon and offering flexibility to work remotely. You will be working on exciting repair, alteration and refurbishment projects for England's most treasured historic sites. To be considered you must be a Chartered MRICS Quantity Surveyor and have experience working on conservation/heritage projects. The role offers free access to England's heritage sites, 28 days holiday + Bank Holidays, flexible working hours and remote working. Their grant funding is essential to support the heritage sector and you will be working proactively with grant recipients and internal colleagues to provide technical advice and support as part of a small project team. You will be delivering high-quality expert quantity surveying advice and guidance on construction-related costs and procurement and construction process in respect of the historic environment. You will be joining a surveying team made up of both Building Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors providing specific cost, procurement and quantity surveying services to support the repair and adaptive re-use of traditional buildings. Role & Responsibilities - Work on the care, repair, adaption and conservation of buildings, structures and landscapes across England - Provide specific cost, procurement and Quantity Surveying services - Guide and advise on construction related costs and procurement issues - Work for both internal colleagues and grant recipients - Liaise with public bodies in relation to standards of practice, publication and CPD Training needs Required Skills & Experience - MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor - Experienced in traditional and/or heritage projects - Experienced in diverse procurement methods - Knowledge of various forms of contracts - Knowledge of public Contracts Regulations 2015 - Knowledge of traditional construction methods and systems What you get back - Salary of up to £45,000 - Holiday 28 days + Bank Holidays - Free entry to England's heritage sites - Chance to work on exciting conservation projects throughout England Apply If you meet the criteria above, send us your CV and portfolio.
