Job Description

Quantity Surveyor Location: Basingstoke (& the South) Business Unit: Kier Mechanical & Electrical Contract: Permanent, full time Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join its highly successful commercial team. KME are an internal MEP self-delivery business within the Kier group, supporting the internal regional businesses across the UK and the Strategic Projects business on complex and challenging projects that range from £5m to £80m. The business has a full design, construct and commissioning capability. The business has been operating for over 50 years with a track record for delivering on developing staff, repeat business and successful projects. Key Responsibilities As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work as part of an integrated team focusing on the commercial and preconstruction functions of the KME business to deliver projects in accordance with the commercial standards, policies and ethics the business has, in a timely and accurate manner. You will deliver on key objectives set, manage internal and external relationships, undertake monthly reporting, valuations, variations, subcontract documents & final accounts, risk, opportunity and forecasting. What do we need from you? You will have a degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying and have previous experience in a similar role or within a commercially focused environment. You will understand the importance of risk management and have the ability to add value to the project in hand. What will you receive?
