Estimator - Flat Roofing Southampton Salary £DOE + Package I am currently partnering with an established Roofing Contractor based in Southampton who are searching for an Estimator who has extensive experience/specialises in Estimating flat roofing projects. This established Roofing contractor undertakes a wide range of Cladding and Roofing projects across the South for well know blue chip clients. Project range from £500K to £3M Due to an increase in tender enquiries they are now looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to complement their skilled facades team. They have been established for over twenty years and have an excellent staff retention record. This is a great opportunity for an Estimator/Surveyor to join a growing sub contractor with a strong order book and who has plans to grow in 2021. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Processing tender enquiries, producing quotations/ BoQs from plans & specifications and site visits in a timely manner ensuring compliance with necessary tender documentation Ability to check legal documents such as Tenders, Contracts and other agreements prior to works commencing Establish, develop and maintain close working relationships with clients and main contractors Undertake pre-contract meetings and site visits when necessary Project procurement Seek out and identify new potential clients Monitor and work to deadlines Monitor job costings on all projects Produce Applications for Valuations and Final Accounts This list of responsibilities and duties is not exhaustive and the Company will expect you to perform other duties relevant to the job title. Desirable Competencies: Experience of Estimating flat roofing projects A good working knowledge of Building Construction Knowledge of roofing estimating software would be an advantage as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent numerical and mathematical skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Be able to liaise and negotiate with clients and customers The successful applicant will have experience working within the Cladding or Roofing sector. Well organised with good presentation skills and have the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
