Job Description

Site Manager An opportunity has arisen at a successful local company for a passionate, enthusiastic, experienced and skilled Joinery / Construction Working Site Manager to strengthen our existing team. They are a growing company, working with numerous NHS Trusts, undertake key life-saving works. ‘We work with a range of clients and architects across numerous sectors, specialising in Healthcare and Mental Healthcare.Traditional joinery works include - reception counters, windows, staircases, exhibition stands, shop fronts and bespoke furniture items. Our in-house manufactured timber doorsets include heavy duty Seclusion grade doorsets, anti-ligature and anti-barricade doorsets and lock back secure doorsets. Our fire doorsets are certified to BM Trada Q-Mark standards, for Manufacture and Installation. Joinery experience is essential to the role, in door installation / general joinery, we are willing to assist the right person in developing their joinery skills. We are based in Normanby, near Scunthorpe, company vehicles are kept at our works and are collected and loaded in the morning before travelling to site and returned emptied / left tidy at the end of the day, reporting to the office. We operate an eye recognition clocking in / out system. As a family company, we offer full / part time positions - working full days, so please do get in touch. Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm (4pm on Friday). Standard working week is 46.5 hours per week. Earlier starts / later finishes are sometimes necessary depending on site location / to ensure completion of work. Sometimes staying away during the week is needed, usually travel to site on Monday morning and return Friday afternoon. The company books a B & B and provides a working away subsistence payment. Lunch breaks are unpaid. We offer excellent rates of pay, dependant on experience, knowledge and skill set. A company uniform is provided (except work trousers) along with paid holidays and company pension scheme.You will be expected to have your own hand tools, comprehensive range of battery tools and power tools, the company provides larger power tools.’ Ideal key attributes, skills and experience: Ideally hold current SMSTS qualification Minimum NVQ L2 in Joinery / time-served joiner / good site joinery skills A friendly, outgoing leader and team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude Capable of being the independent link between site and the office, a role model / mentor to others Excellent client facing / communication skills and able to manage teams and other trades on site High attention to accuracy / details, organised, neat and tidy approach to work Able to manage programs, maintained deadlines achieve high standards, with no snagging Able to understand, interpret and work from drawings / plans and give toolbox talks Ensure company / client procedures / policies / rules are complied with Carry out Health & Safety inspections to the relevant regulations / site safety audits Willingness to learn all relevant standards in relation to BM Trada Q-Mark Certification Ensure all site paperwork is kept up to date, especially inductions / Covid 19 checks Full, clean driving licence (ideally, to allow shared driving to and from sites) Site Manager £14 – 17 p.h
