Midlands based contractor are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to be site based working on a £32 Million construction fit out of an existing industrial unit to provide a new food processing facility and packaging plant. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for looking after all aspects of subcontract administration which will include subcontractor procurement, pre-contract meetings, issuing of subcontract payments upon satisfactory completion of work as well as final accounts. Other duties will also include providing CVR's, managing cash flow projections and forecasts for senior management. Along with all commercial aspects of the project you will also be asked to attend client and subcontractor meetings which may involve the preparation for change in orders including monitoring any programme/delay issues arising from any change/variations resulting in application for extension of time.
A track record and knowledge of JCT form of contract will be a distinct advantage as well as ideally prior/current experience with COINS.
Previous/current experience working for regional/national Tier 1 & 2 build contractors will be a distinct advantage as well, being locally based to the site will be a mandatory requirement

You will be experienced in all main aspects of quantity surveying attending site meetings ensuring clear and concise interactions between the commercial team and the operational site team. You will manage and monitor the supply chain as well as ensuring subcontract packages are managed as are subcontract payments. You will ensure all records are maintained and updated regularly, monitoring costs at all times ensuring maximum value on cost control and cash management as well as financial reporting and final accounts.
