Estates Surveyor - Somerset & South West

LONG TERM INTERIM OPPORTUNITY FOR AN ESTATES & DEVELOPMENT SURVEYOR TO JOIN A LANDLORD IN THE SOUTH WEST Your new company As an Estates & Development Surveyor you will join a publicly owned landlord based in the South West of the UK who manage a portfolio of commercial property alongside over 5,000 residential homes. Alongside the property there are also a number of small land holdings, many which are joined to existing housing plots or garage space. Your new role As an Estates & Development Surveyor you will work within the housing department and help the team to navigate through various land and property management details including management and instruction of professional valuations. Your role will involve the negotiation of land access rights as well as managing the sale and valuation of specific pieces of land. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in your new role you'll need to have a background in property management, valuation, land and / or development, ideally within a social housing or residential housing setting. You don't need to be an RICS Registered Valuer, however valuation experience would be helpful, alongside prior experience in the negotiation of land sale and / or access rights. What you'll get in return In return you will receive an initial interim contract with duration of between 6-9 months, a contract which is highly likely to extend beyond this point and could potentially move into a permanent position.
