Design Manager – Joinery Commercial Fit - Out Permanent Location – London Salary - £55,000 - £65,000 Per Annum Negotiable Depending on Experience My client is a carpentry, Joinery and Fit-out company which has been providing a quality service to both their commercial and domestic clients since 1987. They have a proven track record for delivering projects from domestic projects through to multi million pound commercial and residential joinery and fit out projects throughout London and the South East. They are currently seeking an experienced Design Manager whose portfolio must include Joinery and Fit-out packages and high end, large commercial projects. You will be most likely be educated to at least HNC level and have timed served in a role of a comparable level. The key objectives of the role would be - to provide design to defined cost, time and quality requirements. To promote the Company's culture and business reputation and being proactive in seeking out other opportunities. Responsibility & Duties * To create, develop and control an accurate design programme. * To issue a detailed weekly progress report to the client and SCL Team * To ensure that the client design requirements are understood and communicated to all members of the team. * To deliver construction design within authorised budget, optimising cost and quality parameters. * To ensure controls are in place for monitoring, reporting and improving performance * To provide regular feedback to the Project Manager/ Operations Director. * To ensure compliance with the Quality and Management Systems. Experience & Qualification * High level of personal drive and commitment with effective goal setting ability. * Ability to critically analyse information and identify key issues. * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing along with the ability to persuade and influence others to gain agreement to and acceptance of ideas. * The capacity to inspire and motivate others through skilful use of appropriate leadership style to suit the team and situation to get the best out of others whilst participating fully. * Experience with Joinery/Fit Out and related interfaces * Knowledge of construction best practices. * Knowledge of H&S and environmental legislation. * Commercial and contractual management skills. * Leadership, people/team management skills. * Good knowledge of MS Office * Competent with CAD software * CSCS Supervisor or above Should this be of interest to you please get in contact and send your most up to date cv to my email address below as soon as possible.
