These roles for permanent a Section Engineer & a Site Engineer join one of the UK's leading contractors within their Civil Engineering Division. They deliver complex projects across sectors including rail, bridges & highways, rivers and environmental. The lead rail project is part of a long term infrastructure framework delivering upgraded and replacement facilities, covering platforms and accompanying civils along with signalling works and M&E. This involves possession with work being completed at weekends and evenings. There is also a new pedestrian and cycle way with ramps and access.

The key duties for the role include but are not limited to:

Setting out
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
Managing, monitoring and interpreting design documents
Liaising with the site team, consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
Quality control and health and safety matters on site
Preparing reports as required;
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
