Mechanical Project Manager

About the client: They work on a portfolio of projects in the UK and are recognised as a market leading contractor. They are renowned for delivering large technically challenging commercial office, data centre, pharmaceutical and public sector projects. They are currently on the market for a freelance Sprinklers Project Manager to work on a healthcare project in the Cambridge area. The contract will run for approximately 12 months, with a potential immediate start for suitable candidates. Duties Include: * Key to this role is programme management, ensuring key deadlines are met * Design Review liaising with consultants, client and main contractor * Procurement * Coordination of subcontractors and project team, working specifically on the sprinkler contractors * Overseeing a team of engineers and construction managers * Reporting on quality, H&S and cooperate governance. * Chairing meetings internally and externally * Management of commissioning stages and project handover to the client
