Clerk of Works

A Local Authority based in Cheshire is looking for a Clerk of Works to join their team. This is a full time, Temporary position and the successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications of HNC/HND and have relevant experience as a Clerk of Works and ideally extensive experience in a similar local authority role. The purpose of this role is to co ordinate the work of site supervisory staff, to ensure that roadworks and/or bridgeworks contracts are carried out in accordance with the Specification. The role comprises of; Supporting all pre-construction activities to enable the entry in to a build contract for the four housing sites. Supporting the development and delivery of new build homes for social rent across Cheshire West and Chester. Ensure that building works are constructed in accordance with drawings and specification and that quality of workmanship on site is of an acceptable standard. Ensure the successful handover of completed housing units and that the interests of Cheshire West and Chester are protected at every stage of the project. The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £25 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (approx. £620 p/week NET after deductions) dependant on experience and qualifications.
