Job Description
ROLE DEFINITION
The Quantity Surveyor (QS) will be responsible for managing costs relating to our scaffolding projects and may be required to assist with other projects within the Group Companies, from the initial enquiry to the final account. The QS should seek to enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. You will need to be familiar with the processes of estimating and tendering, preparation and submissions of applications and subcontractor cost value reconciliation (CVR).
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience as a QS
* Previous scaffolding experience is essential
* Self-motivated with the desire to develop a career in a progressive Company.
* Good negotiation and communication skills
* Experience in working in a construction or scaffolding environment

Job Description
* Managing costs on a variety of building projects, which will be assigned to you by your line manager;
* Undertaking costs analysis for scaffolding work;
* Undertaking risk analysis and feasibility studies;
* Assisting with the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
* Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
* Assisting with preparing and analysing costings for tenders
* Placing of subcontractor orders, with approval of your line manager.
* Production of financial reports (cost value reconciliation)
* 14. Liaising with clients and consultants at all levels ensuring that you represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
* 17. Working with Contract and Site Managers to ensure that staffing hours are correctly monitored and recorded
