Estimator

Client: My client are a specialist sub-contractor within the construction industry, and the main core of the business is drylining & suspended ceilings. They specialise in CAT A/ CAT B fit out projects focused in London ranging from £250k - £5 Million. They work on projects for leading clients in London and the surrounding counties with the majority of works in Central London. They would like someone from a drylining background. They are looking for an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor who is capable overseeing multiple tenders up to the value of £5m Responsibilities: * To effectively communicate and build relationships with site supervisors, project/contract managers, operatives, surveyors, payroll and other head office staff * Plan and organise work effectively * Reconcile tender to works and identify any additional works * Liaise with Site Management and co-produce monthly reporting * Accurately estimate and evaluate price work of operatives, make decisions on rate of pay, additional rates, and price variations Skills Required: * Must have Previous Drylining Experience * Experience working for a drylining sub-contractor essential * Attention to detail * Able to contribute to team meetings * Effective personal organisational skills In return, they offer: * The opportunity to work on high end projects for major blue-chip companies and wealthy individuals. * A very competitive basic salary and good package. * A stable and supportive work environment where staff are actively looked after. * Carefully planned training and encouraging ongoing growth and learning, enabling employees to reach their career aspirations
