Job - Site Manager Middlesborough Salary £18 - £22 per hour Venatu Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with our client, a leading construction contractor covering the North East Region. A business established over 25 years ago who work on new build and refurbishment projects both industrial and commercial. Due to securing a prestigious contract they are looking to recruit a freelance Site Manager to be site based throughout the project. The project is £3.5 million steel frame building with external cladding, curtain walling and all interiors. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: A proven track record of managing and completing construction projects to a high standard SMSTS First Aid Certificate CSCS Experience working on a fast paced scheme working to tight deadlines RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE: Management of subcontracts and direct labour Site Inductions including COVID guidelines Writing of risk assessments and method statements Authorisation / approval of working hours Reading site drawings Quality Checks Monthly progress reports Client facing including visits / inspections Hands on role KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: A good knowledge of construction methods and materials Experience working on steel frame builds and a sound knowledge of cladding and curtain walling Ordering of materials and plant Basic IT and maths skills Good organisational skills Ability to read site drawings Excellent communication skills at all levels The ability to work as part of a team At Venatu Recruitment Group, your right to privacy is important to us.
