Estimator / Senior Estimator level role - Cheshire based - Perm role - Up to £65,000 plus package - email to apply Company Details My client, a specialist in construction and fit out contractor based in Cheshire are looking for a Construction Estimator or Senior Estimator. They pride themselves on repeat business from their longstanding client relationships. Typical tenders / projects include some (but not all) New Build and Refurbishment - Industrial, Commercial, Retail , CAT A and B fit outs etc. Duties Monitor potential incoming enquiries Pricing roles from first principles Maintain up-to-date market knowledge of labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors Help to train any junior member of staff Prepare & send out sub-contract & material enquiries Where required produce accurate take-offs Manage, as directed, enquiries for labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors Price bills/schedules analytically and produce quote comparisons Complete tender pricing for adjudication by the tender committee, including reporting on any risks or onerous conditions, providing a winning edge Liaise with planner to assess programme & preliminaries Formulate bid strategy/qualifications Assist in the training of junior staff On secured projects prepare information for handover to the contract team Assist in developing Company estimating library Check tender documentation Candidate Essentials Must have worked as an Estimator / Senior Estimator on similar projects (New Build and Refurbishment - Industrial, Commercial, Retail , CAT A and B fit outs). Excellent Excel Skills Working experience of presenting technical and complex information Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload First rate communication skills both written and verbal Excellent attention to detail Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegates as appropriate Required knowledge of both New build and refurbishment projects Strong knowledge of estimating both Traditional and Design & Build projects Experience in pricing projects between £2m and £10m in value.
