Job Description

CLIENT: Operating nationally our client is a specialist mechanical and electrical contractor. They are responsible for delivering high quality design & build installations across a variety of sectors. As a result of continued growth they are looking for a Mechanical Design Manager to join their London Team. Working closely with the divisional director the successful candidate will be responsible for developing of detailed, construction worthy designs. Projects range from £1M to £15M MEP within healthcare, commercial, education and residential sectors. Role: Mechanical Design Manager Location: London Salary: £75,000.00 + Package THE ROLE * Manage external consultants, main contractors and clients to develop MEP designs within budget and on time. * Verification of external consultants design’s including detailed analysis of IES, * Revit and Hevacomp output data. * Verification of external Consultants design data including review of IES and Revit models. * Development of concept designs and management of key deliverables. * Attendance of client and design team meetings. * Preparation of excel spreadsheets and power point presentations. * Develop new and existing business opportunities. ESSENTIAL * Highlighted motivated with excellent communication skills. * Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills. * Must have the ability to work alone with minimal supervision. * Client facing attributes and presentation experience will be expected. * Have a flexible attitude and be comfortable working on a number of projects simultaneously. QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS * Minimum HNC /HND in building services engineering or equivalent. * Minimum 6 years’ experience in a Mechanical Services design role either consultancy or contractor based with a bias towards design and build contracts. * Fully proficient with Microsoft Office suite. * Membership of CIBSE / IHEEM preferred but not essential. * Background in healthcare and education sectors with full understanding of HTM, HBN and Building Bulletin standards preferred. * Working knowledge of IES and Revit design software. * Experience in delivering projects to BIM level 2
