AutoCAD – Structural Technician Permanent Location – Oakham, Rutland Salary - £25,000 - £35,000 Per Annum Negotiable Depending on Experience As Consulting Engineers my client’s practice was formed to provide advice and to consult with other professional Engineers, Architects and Contractors. They offer a comprehensive façade engineering service and provide an extensive range of in-house services which include structural analysis and façade performance, development of complex geometric forms, 3D modelling together with detailed designs and performance specifications all of which will be fully co-ordinated with other materials utilised in the design of the building façade. A fantastic opportunity is immediately available for an ambitious and driven Structural CAD Technician to become a leading part of a highly regarded, independent engineering consultancy based in Oakham, Rutland. They are looking to welcome the successful applicant to play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of projects delivered across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and have developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality work for its client base. Responsibility & Duties * Play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of building structures projects * Liaise closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation * Aid the development of more junior team members * Carry out steel and concrete layout drawings * Reinforcement detailing and scheduling * Aid the development of more junior team members * Attending Design team meetings Experience & Qualification * Hold either an ONC/OND or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering * Minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a consultancy-based role. * Façade, building envelope, cladding, roofing, rainscreen systems experience ideal * Have experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry * Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD with proven track record in delivering high standards of draughtsmanship * Experience with Revit is desirable though not essential * Have a clean driving licence and use of car * Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills * Portfolio advantageous Should this be of interest to you please get in contact and send your most up to date cv to my email address below as soon as possible.
