Structural Steel Estimator

Singh & Jones have partnered with a well established Contractor who specialise in structural steel and external rainscreen façade projects. Part of a large PLC, who are a FTSE 250 business, my client has seen a surge in project wins over the past few months. A company who employ over 200 staff and work across the full process including design, manufacturing and installation, my client are a market leading and on trend organisation. With the commercial growth, my client is looking to recruit an experienced Estimator, with a core background in structural steel. The role will be reporting to the Estimating Manager and your duties will include; * Estimating and producing high-quality tenders for within the structural steel sector * Liaising with internal design, manufacturing, and operational teams * Attending design and estimating meetings both internally and externally * Producing and maintain regular site surveys * Carry out Take Offs from drawings * Using internal bespoke systems to generate quality and precise tenders * Being customer focussed, and understanding the project requirements in order to offer the best service. * Thinking outside the box and implementing better ways of working The ideal candidate will have a background in structural steel estimating. This can be from a Structural or Architectural Metalwork sectors. Having a sound construction experience, coupled with the ability to work under pressure and drive projects/tenders forward, is a big plus for my client.
