Senior Quantity Surveyor (HIghways)

A Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support the client of a major highways scheme, based in Hampshire, close to Portsmouth & Southampton. This is an initial 12 month contract, site based. Working client side, you will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, tracking and forecasting costs, leading to final accounting phase. Working under NEC3 target cost contract conditions, you will be interacting significantly with contractors, involved in complex negotiations and ensuring any commercial issues are resolved, plus other associated tasks. Successful candidate will have degree or similar qualification in relevant field, ideally Chartered MRICS or equivalent experience in civil engineering environment. Excellent working knowledge of NEC3 contracts and experience of financial managing major infrastructure construction projects would be required. Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills are also a must for this role. IR35 determination will be made on offer. We have a fair and comprehensive selection procedure.
