We are currently looking for a Part time (2/3 days per week) Rail Recruitment Consultant with experience in rail or construction contingent labour supply to work with the team at our Airdrie a proven track record in the rail or construction contingent labour recruitment sector. We are looking for a recruitment consultant who truly understands labour supply recruitment and in return we offer a financially rewarding package and the opportunity to join an established thriving recruitment business. Some of the key responsibilities within this position include: *Liaise with the internal sales team to develop new business; *Create and develop business opportunities with both existing and new clients; *Personally spend part of your working week visiting existing and potential clients in your geographical location; *Focus on selling all grades of workers and support services supplied by the McGinley Group of Companies; on temporary hired, contract hire or permanent placement fee basis, as agreed with your Manager. *Maintain contact, build and maintain a good working relationship with existing clients by way of pro-active telephone contact; *Maintain the recruitment and allocation of temporary workers ensuring full compliance; *Ensure workers are paid on time; *Actively recruit candidates suitable for customer requirements (compliance, competence, skills, location, attitude etc.) through external adverts, etc; *Maintain regular contact with potential candidates; *Ensure any issues on site are dealt with and resolved in a timely manner. Essential requirements for this position include: *Previous customer service experience within contingent labour resourcing; *Attention to detail; *Excellent communication with strong language skills, both written and verbal; *Good organisational skills; *MS Office packages and preferably RDB Pro database experience; *An interest in infrastructure services; *A willingness to help other members of your team on a flexible basis; *PTS ACDC card preferred but not essential. Site Supervisor required for Heavy Civil Engineering works in the Midlands area, supervising a team of labourers, groundworkers and plant operatives on major infrastructure construction project. Main Duties: *To litter pick, sweep and empty all waste bins within a pre-defined area and to dispose of all waste arising from this following the correct protocol and procedures in place at the time. *To comply with all appropriate legislation and instructions relating to waste disposal in force at that time. *To remove and dispose of all other waste and other items including snow and ice as directed by the supervising officer. *To undertake the collection of illegally tipped waste on highways and open spaces and to collect other items as required, making decisions on the best methods of collection and disposal. *To assist in the removal of graffiti and fly posters. *To assist in undertaking of the application of pesticides and the clearance of detritus in highway environments and carry out other associated duties to control weed growth and detritus in designated areas. Essential: *You will require a full driving licence to at least category B for manual transmission vehicles you will need to be competent to drive vehicles up to maximum 3500kg MAM. *You will need to be physically fit and able to work outdoors in inclement weather through the year. *You will be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and be able to comply with any departmental safety standards. *You will be able to read and follow written works instructions, read maps and complete paper records. *Ability to deal with both members of the public and colleagues in a courteous and helpful manner. *Ability to work on own with little supervision and to use own initiative *Be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work. *Exemplify the Council's values and behaviours. A Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support the client of a major highways scheme, based in Hampshire, close to Portsmouth & Southampton. This is an initial 12 month contract, site based. Working client side, you will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, tracking and forecasting costs, leading to final accounting phase. Working under NEC3 target cost contract conditions, you will be interacting significantly with contractors, involved in complex negotiations and ensuring any commercial issues are resolved, plus other associated tasks. Successful candidate will have degree or similar qualification in relevant field, ideally Chartered MRICS or equivalent experience in civil engineering environment. Excellent working knowledge of NEC3 contracts and experience of financial managing major infrastructure construction projects would be required. Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills are also a must for this role. IR35 determination will be made on offer. We have a fair and comprehensive selection procedure. Arboriculture Specialist required for highways client in Hampshire area. This is an initial 12 month contract, working throughout the county as a subject matter expert on arboriculture issues, instructing tree contractors, site inspections, reports etc. Successful candidate will have NVQ Level 4 or National Diploma in Arboriculture plus Arboricultural Association Technicians Certificate or working towards this. Significant knowledge and demonstrable experience of working in an arboriculturist role with knowledge of tree work and planting, relative to highways, tree biology, tree pests and diseases, costings, environmental impact and other associated issues relate to highways alboriculture. A permanent Bid Manager is required for a large multidisciplinary construction company, based in their Cheshire office. As a Bid Manager, you will primarily be leading bids from earliest phases (ITT) through to award stage, ensuring that all engagement is consistent with potential clients, supply chain partners and potential Joint Venture partnerships where appropriate. You will also be responsible for developing a consistent bid strategy for the bids team, a bid programme with considerable engagement from key internal stakeholders to ensure bids are fully supported, and reviewing all submitted information is completed both accurately and to client's requirements. This role will be reporting into a Senior Bid Manager with some management responsibility from bid team. Successful candidate will have proven track record of delivery of bids, with experience of working on large construction and infrastructure projects. Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaborative skills are required plus a technical, forward thinking mind to help develop bid responses in future. Good commercial knowledge is also required to disseminate commercial requirements. Finally excellent written communication skills are a must to ensure bid documents are completed to optimal level.
