An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Assistant to work full time at our client's site in Cambridge. The working hours are full time, paying between £22 - £30 per hour PAYE, depending on experience. This role is temporary until December 2020.
**All candidates to be successful will be completion of our clients vetting scheme and an internal Drug & Alcohol test**
Our client are a UK leading system integrator and a direct channel to market for solutions and services based on their industry leading building automation products and software. They address customer's needs for integrated solutions across Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), Fire and Security.
We are looking to appoint a Commercial Assistant to join our clients commercial team and project team that is currently looking after the BMS solution. The position will report into our Senior QS and will be based out of our office in Cambridge site once Covid restrictions are lifted.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing flow of information to ensure compliance with program and contract commitments
Assist in preparation for contractual correspondence like applications, early warning notices, delay notices, timesheets and notices for compensation events etc.
Collect data and documents relating to sub-contract costs and employee timesheets
Assist in managing the register for all commercial documents
Assist in preparation of job costing reports, forecasts, cash flows
Assist in maintenance of accurate bill of quantities showing costs incurred , committed costs, forecast costs and associated variances
Assist Senior QS in resolution of disputesSkills and Experience
Degree or diploma qualification desired in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Economics or Building Services
Project management experience is desirable
Exposure to the construction industry is desirable
Demonstrable interest in commercial and financial activities
Fluency in MS Office and Excel
Strong numeracy skills
Interest in contract and contract management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to deal and interact with multiple stakeholders
Demonstrates growth and customer focus
