Working as part of the field team to provide a dedicated service of asset repair and maintenance together with installation and dismantle of site cabins.
Overall responsibility for ensuring that a high proportion of Regional self powered hire equipment is available for hire and is certified safe to use at all times
Main Responsibilities:
Carrying out comprehensive safety/maintenance checks of all self powered hire equipment before dispatch/when returned and completing and including all necessary documentation including test certificates and safety instructions
Visiting customer sites, when required, to repair faulty self powered hire equipment and/or carrying out safety/operational demonstrations
Installation and dismantle of hire units and associated equipment
Quick and accurate diagnosis of fault / breakdown
Asking relevant questions to determine the precise fault / issue to complete the job first time.
Liaising with customers / manager / peers / contractors to ensure site work is completed timely and efficiently
Effective repair of hire units and its equipment which may require multi-trade skills capability - including engine repair
Completing PDA / paperwork thoroughly and accurately
Understand and comply with all relevant Company rules, agreements, policies, procedures and with all relevant legislative requirements and codes of practice.
Act in a professional manner, ensure good working relationships are maintained and promote a good image of the Company at all times.

Due to expansion our well established client is looking for a Property Repairs and Maintenance Operative with drainage and plumbing experience to cover the Cardiff and Newport area.
Reporting to the Head of Property, you will be responsible for undertaking both responsive and planned maintenance tasks to properties within the business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out tasks in occupied and empty properties such as the following:
*Plumbing: Carry out a range of plumbing repairs and minor installations.
*Carpentry: Carry out a range of carpentry and joinery repairs and installations including installation and/or repair of various windows, doors and frames, UPVC components, framed ledged and braced, ledged and braced and internal plywood doors; fences, soffits, fascia and bargeboards. Joinery work including the fitting of and/or repair to architraves, skirting bath panel and frames, the fitting of kitchen units and worktops, the fitting and repair of double glazed units, locks, floorboards, and stud walls.
*Plastering: Carry out a range of plastering works including re-skimming, rendering, patching and Artex cover up.
*Painting and Decorating: Carry out a range of painting and redecoration tasks including prepare and clean surfaces using methods such as scraping, sanding and steam cleaning; remove wallpaper and loose paint; repair cracks and holes in walls and joinery by applying fillers/sealant. Prepare/sand surface for application of decorative product.
*Groundwork: Carry out a range of groundwork, fencing and clearance repairs and renewals
*Clean and Clear: Ensure the cleaning of all communal areas, offices, toilets and external areas and in accordance with the company standard. To ensure all accommodation is clean and fit for purpose.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Previous property repair and maintenance experience
Must have previous drainage and plumbing experience
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office Software
