Assistant Quantity Surveyor, residential, Hertfordshire

I am seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, ideally Degree qualified with at least 1 years of experience in the role to work on a residential new build project in Royston, Hertfordshire. The client are a main contractor with a strong presence in the private sale and social housing sectors and the project in question is a large scale £50m development of a combination of both RC frame apartments and traditional build housing. They are at an early stage in the scheme and they require a bright Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work under the already present Senior Surveyor and assist with all commercial tasks. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be required to assist with all commercial duties including procurement, liasing with sub contractors, package management all the way through to final accounts. For this reason although they are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor they must have some form of prior experience, ideally in housing of some form and although they will not be required to be stand alone they must be capable to work under their own initiative. The client operate out of this area and due to this offer the succesful candidate excellent opportunity of progression as they have several future works in the nearby vicinity secured as follow on projects. The client are keen on promoting within and due to this the candidate can achieve as much progression as they choose to push themselves towards.
