J21994 Finishing Manager - High End Residential London £50k - £55k + Travel / £250 - £270 per day Start July 2020 Contract or Permanent A specialist refurbishment contractor is looking to employ a Finishing Manager for a very exciting high-end development in Central London. The development is the complete refurbishment and extension to several buildings within the Soho Conservation area. The works include the careful restoration of all areas including four grade II and II* listed buildings, a new roof extension, a new timber framed pavilion area, and a new two storey basement connecting a three of the buildings and providing a bar and music venue. The role will suit a driven and proactive Finishing Manager, who will take pride in ensuring the project will be delivered to the highest quality finish. Reporting to a Project Manager, the Finishing Manager will have the following duties: • Manage and supervise the trade subcontractors on a day-to-day basis. Ensuring all work is being completed to the highest standard possible and to within strict deadlines set out by the client • Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors • Review progress and liaise with management to monitor costs and progress • Maintain quality control procedures as well as site paperwork and drawings • Conducting inductions and attending H&S briefings The ideal candidates will possess the following attributes: • Minimum of 5 years' construction experience on high-end residential, hotel and retail. • Demonstrate the right can do attitude. • From a trade background, preferably carpentry. • A stable employment history with a high-end residential contractor. • Demonstrate that they can keep to a tight programme. • Proven experience and knowledge of refurbishment projects from £2m - £10m • Energetic and enjoys the challenge of successfully delivering a quality build • Enjoys taking responsibility and willing to help the site team achieve their goals This is a great opportunity to work for a small contractor with a turnover of £15m and secured projects for 2021.
