About this Role:
Experienced Senior Site Manager required to work for a Regional Contractor in the Dorset area.
This will be to work on a £18M new build project over the next 2 years.
Reporting to the Operations Director initially and in 6 months to the Project Manager on site.
Future projects include refurbishment and new build within education, health, commercial, industrial, residential and leisure on projects up to the value of £25M
Project Detail:
Location: Poole
Project Value: £18M
Project duration: 2 Years
4 x apartment blocks up to 4 floors and 2/3 bedroom social housing units.
The project is currently at piling stage so you will be involved from conception to hand over.
You will need to have experience of:
*Early stage site set up
*Produce and issue risk log
*Identify all H&S issues
*Produce detailed Method Statements
*Review options for construction and challenge solutions
*Provide cost effective solutions for the construction of the works
*Take tough decisions to overcome issues
*Be involved along with the QS and Site Management in the selection process for subcontractors, specialist and suppliers
*Attend progress meetings as appropriate and ensure that relevant contractors/progress reports against the programme are issued in accordance with the contract
*Deal with al issues including complex issues to the customer and their team
*As part of the project team ensure that works are progressed safely, to the quality, programme, efficiently and cost effectively
*Monitor all regulatory requirements regarding Planning and Building Regulations
*Ensure that all site administration procedures are followed and timesheets are signed-off when not verified by a Site Manager
*Work closely with the Surveyor to ensure all cost related items are reported back and assist in the preparation of the final account

With a turnover of £50M across 2 regional offices in Dorset and Hampshire.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Candidates must:
*Have experience of working within the Construction industry for main contractors
*Hold or be working toward a construction / design related professional qualification - HNC/HND/Degree
*Be a member of a Professional Body
*Have main contractor experience on projects form inception to delivery on site / handover
Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
